About Dr Ling Ling Chuah

Dr Chuah graduated with MBChB from the University of Aberdeen in 2001. She undertook her training in Glasgow before joining the London rotation for diabetes and endocrinology training. She pursued her clinical interest in obesity management and undertook obesity training at Imperial Weight Centre, Charing Cross Hospital.

She was awarded MSc in Diabetes and Endocrinology from Kings College London in 2009, and further her research interest in obesity and at Imperial College London. Her research interest is on perioperative management of diabetes patients undergoing bariatric surgery; and the progression of microvascular complications of diabetes patients following bariatric surgery. She was awarded MD for her obesity research at Imperial College London. Her works were presented nationally and internationally, as well as published in peer-reviewed journals. She is also a reviewer for journals.

个⼈简历

蔡医师于2001 年从英国亚伯丁⼤学毕业取得内外全科学⼠学位后，

于格拉斯哥受训并在伦敦接受正规糖尿病与内分泌的医学训练。在此

之后确⽴⺫标，专攻肥胖管理，并在查令⼗字医院附属帝国减重中⼼

进⾏培训。

2009 年她在英国伦敦国⺩学院获颁理学硕⼠学位，研究糖尿病学

与内分泌学。在此之后，延续其对肥胖症的兴趣，在英国帝国理⼯⼤

学继续攻读。蔡医师的研究兴趣在于糖尿病病⼈的减肥⼿术的全⼿术

期管理，与糖尿病病⼈减重⼿术后之微⾎管并发症。

她随后于英国帝国理⼯学院取得医学博⼠学位，专攻肥胖症研究。

蔡医师的医学著作，能⻅于许多国家级与国际级的医学期刊中，她本

⼈也参与学术期刊的审阅。蔡医师⺫前担任英国皇家内科医学院院⼠，

致⼒于主治项⺫的研究。⺫前在伦敦医疗设备有糖尿病（包括眼底检

查，例⾏性检查与治疗）和内分泌与新陈代谢特别⻔诊。
