Dr Sarah Rae qualified at the Westminster Hospital, University of London and completed her pre–registration year there. She subsequently worked in Chest Medicine at the London Chest Hospital, Cardiology at the London Hospital, and completed her General Medicine training at Greenwich District Hospital.
Following a Research Year at King’s College Hospital she spent a year as a Lecturer in Medicine at the University of Singapore, and returned to King’s College Hospital as a Senior Registrar in Rheumatology and Rehabilitation.
She was appointed Consultant in Rehabilitation at Exeter in 1992 and Consultant in Rheumatology at Bedford Hospital in 1999. Her research interests are in back pain and osteoporosis, and she is the author of 35 published articles. Dr Rae has four children and lists jewellery making and studying modern languages as her major hobbies.
Dr Rae specialises in general rheumatology, back pain, and osteoporosis.
