Dr Simon Woldman graduated from the University of Glasgow in 1989. He was first appointed a consultant cardiologist at The Ayr Hospital, before joining UCLH in 2006. He is an expert in the management of heart failure, advanced heart failure in particular – and, with his team, has developed an interest in patients who have failed to respond to conventional therapy.
Dr Woldman is the chairman of the North Central London Heart Failure task group, and an expert in cardiac imaging, especially nuclear cardiology and cardiac CT angiography. He was the last president of the British Nuclear Cardiology Society, and is a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology, the Royal College of Physicians and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.
Dr Woldman is particularly interested in heart failure, chest pain, breathlessness, palpitations, ankle swelling, collapse episodes and any other cardiac concern.
