Mr da Cruz specialises in Vitreo-Retinal Surgery and Medical Retina - Diabetic Retinopathy, Macular degeneration, Retinal detachment, Macular Surgery and Macular Translocation. He completed his medical training at Royal Perth Hospital in Western Australia, Oxford Eye Hospital, UK and Moorfields Eye Hospital, UK. Mr da Cruz is a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmology, Australia and a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmology, London. As well as consulting at London Medical, Mr da Cruz is also a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at Moorfields and an honorary Consultant and Ophthalmic Surgeon at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children. His research interests include cell transplantation for macular and retinal dystrophies, translocation surgery for AMD and gene therapy for inheretid retinal dystrophies.
