Senior Registered Nurse

This position is varied and challenging calls for a keen eye to detail. Our team is friendly, flexible, and supportive.

You will be taught to carry out a variety of diagnostic tests and procedures and to assist in general medical clinics, investigations and treatments. We specialise in cardiology, ophthalmology, endocrinology, diabetes, dermatology and osteoporosis.

venesection and cannulation skills are essential, and you will be required obtain certification to ILS or ALS level.

Diabetes Nurse Consultant

Looking for cutting edge diabetes care with innovative tools? London Diabetes is the diabetes service at London Medical, a dynamic medical clinic in the West End of London. The clinic has a growing international reputation and an expanding referral base. Our team consists of 11 diabetes consultants, with support from a dietitian, retinal specialists, cardiologists, clinical psychologists, a podiatrist and an orthotist. The driving force for our service is the team approach led by Laila King, Diabetes Nurse Consultant.   We are now looking for a friendly, caring, energetic Senior Diabetes Nurse Specialist to join our group and help us achieve more.  See recent advertisement in Practical Diabetes International.

  • A Diabetes Specialist Nurse with a minimum of 3 years experience in effective Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes care?
  • Familiar with sensor-augmented insulin pump therapy?
  • Comfortable supporting youngsters, their families, teenagers and pregnant women with diabetes?
  • Experienced in electronic patient records and telecommunications?
  • Confident and independent to deal with patients in the private sector?
  • Passionate and determined to improve diabetes care and outcomes for your patients?

Experienced Medical Secretary to join the London Medical Team

This is a senior position for a top class experienced medical secretary. Candidates must have proven advanced IT literacy proficiency, organisational and leadership qualities and excellent communication skills.    

Person specification:

• Graduate level medical secretary with  at least two years  experience working in outpatient clinics or hospitals in the private sector
• Excellent IT skills  with advanced knowledge in all Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent English and writing skills, able to prepare and edit medical reports, and draft correspondence
• First-class organisational skills and willingness to be flexible
• Confidence to deal with VIP clients and Embassies
• Knowledge of Medico-legal, medical confidentiality and medical regulatory matters
• Excellent interpersonal skills to deal with impatient, sick or stressed patients
• Confident personality to work with and ensure smooth efficient practice organisation for extremely busy consultants
• Confidentiality and tact required at all times
• Ability to troubleshoot, manage and problem solve  busy workloads, patient demands
• Knowledge of medical terminology, medical and surgical tests and procedures
