Medical Meeting - Cardiovascular Disease Management

June 12th, 2007

The evening of Thursday 7th June saw the latest instalment of London Medical’s series of lectures for 2007 with a talk on cardiovascular disease management by Dr. Malcolm Walker.

The evening, sponsored by Schering-Plough, attracted a full house of consultants and GPs who enjoyed wine and canapés before Dr. Walker presented his talk.  This was followed by a series of contrasting case studies which inspired enthusiastic debate amongst the audience.

Key topics under discussion included risk factors in the prevention of heart disease, Framingham Study guidelines and the consideration of family history when assessing cardiovascular risk.

The next lecture in the series will take place on 4th July when Dr. Ralph Abraham will be discussing the use of incretins in Type 2 Diabetes.  For further information or to book please contact Stephanie Miller on 020 7467 5470. Please be aware that places are limited and available on a first-come-first-served basis.
