Latest Patient Satisfaction Survey shows overwhelmingly positive feedback

The latest London Medical annual patient satisfaction survey results have demonstrated an overwhelmingly positive response to the clinic’s staff and services, with 96% of respondents satisfied or very satisfied with their overall experience.

The survey, which took place last month, recorded the feedback of over 200 UK-based patients, all of whom had visited the clinic in the past year.  Patients were questioned on their experiences in all aspects of the clinic, from ease of booking appointments to friendliness and professionalism of nurses.

The results showed significant improvement on last year’s survey results, for example, the positive response to the courtesy of staff and choice of dates when making an appointment, was at 94% in 2007, compared with 69% in 2006.  Jeannie Tomeu, who co-ordinated the survey commented that “London Medical is committed to continually improving services in order to enhance our patients’ experience at the clinic.  Patients who participated in the survey should be pleased to know their comments are taken seriously and several positive changes have occurred throughout the clinic as a result”.

There was also an opportunity for respondents to give specific praise or criticism, and the 2.5% of patients with primarily negative feedback were all dealt with immediately and individually if the patient name was supplied.  Suggestions for improvement were also taken on board, and changes will shortly be introduced to address some of the issues raised by the survey.  The waiting area, for example, will benefit from new regular newspaper subscriptions and the installation of a television, whilst a new door entry sign will be easier to read.

Positive comments showed particularly high acclaim for the consultants and nursing team.  “The care, respect and concern from the medical staff is second to none!  I always leave the clinic feeling better and reassured!” wrote one patient, whilst another commented that “London Medical has the highest degree of professionalism possible…a visit to the clinic inspires confidence in diagnosis and treatment”.  The location and environment was also singled out for praise - “The facilities, cleanliness, and the welcome smiles from the staff are faultless”.
