Dr Peter J Herbert trained at Middlesex Hospital, and worked in Cardiology and Psychiatry before becoming a general practitioner. He was GP tutor to Camden, Islington, and South Barnet, and teaches Medicine in the community to 4th year medical students for UCL.
Until recently he was also an appraiser for Barnet.
Dr Herbert has developed an interest in needle acupuncture and low intensity laser therapy to control pain and reduce inflammation in a wide range of diseases and conditions. He uses a Canadian Laser which is a pioneering device relatively unknown in this country.

I’m very excited to be studying the effects of photon energy on inflammation, and to be teaching medicine in the community to 4th year UCLH students. It’s a privilege to be able to explore photobiomodulation and acupuncture.
